Email is our only channel, and it is a deliberate choice: every measurement, species choice and revision ends up in writing, with a date on it. Tell us the room, the seat count and roughly when you would like the piece, and a craftsman will answer.

The workshop publishes no telephone number and takes no calls. If a message is urgent, put "urgent" in the subject line and it will be read first.

What to include in a first message
The more of this you can tell us at the start, the more useful our first reply will be. None of it is required — a single sentence is a perfectly good way to begin.
- The room: rough dimensions, and how much clear space there is around where the table would stand.
- The game: how many seats, how often it is played, how long a session runs.
- The furniture around it: chair height and style, since the rail is set against your chairs.
- Any species you are drawn to, or a piece elsewhere in the house you would like it to sit beside.
- Access: the narrowest doorway, any stair turn, and whether there is a lift.
- Timing: whether the room has a date it needs to be ready for.
